Dental Care

Animals can suffer from tartar. Tartar is formed by deposits of bacteria and food particles on the tooth surface. Certain breeds (especially the small breeds) are more susceptible than others.

Dental problems cause pain, bad breath, gingivitis, bleeding gums, and loss of the teeth. Infection can also spread to the liver, the heart and the kidneys with all its consequences.

Preventive measures are:

- feed a good quality dry food.

- enzymatic chew bars.

- brushing the teeth.

If this is not sufficient, the teeth can be cleaned with a special device.
